Building Blocks of Meditation
There is a tradition in how to teach meditation that goes something like:
“Try to sit with your spine erect. Focus your attention on your breathing. When you get distracted return your attention to the breath.”
Then they leave you for twenty or so years to work out the rest for yourself.
Some people refer to this as the mushroom farm school of training because they leave you in the dark and feed you crap.
While we understand there is some reasoning to this we choose to do the opposite.
This week we dig into the details of exactly what you are trying to do in meditation and how to do it.
The building blocks of attention, focus, awareness, being present, non-striving, non-judgment, letting go, and curiosity are explained and explored.
Don’t sit in the dark. Get to know what to do and save yourself the first twenty years of frustration.
